Sibling Donor cord Blood Program

How are Patients Referred to CorCell's Sibling Donor Cord Blood Program?

The afflicted child’s treating physician needs to submit a letter of medical necessity to CorCell’s Medical Director. The pregnant mother must complete a Sibling Donor Cord Blood Program Program Agreement.

This letter of medical necessity must contain the following information:

  • The patient’s (child’s) name, date of birth, diagnosis and stage of the disease.
  • The treatment provided to date.
  • A release of information from the custodial parent to provide CorCell with necessary medical information so a determination can be made to determine if the family is eligible for participation in CorCell’s Sibling Donor Cord Blood Program.

Our staff will closely collaborate with you, your obstetrician and the treating physician of the afflicted sibling.
