Delivery Day Checklist

When the big day arrives, it seems like it is hard enough just trying to remember your suitcase and a toothbrush. To help, we're providing you with a quick and easy checklist to make sure you don't forget anything you need to save your baby's cord blood. Because you have so much to think about on this very special day, we've made it as easy as 1, 2, 3.

Delivery Day Checklist
Your CorCell Cord Blood Collection Kit
Take your specially bar coded, cord blood collection kit sent to you by CorCell to the birth center. Give it to your doctor or nurse upon admission to the delivery area.
Mothers Blood
Upon admission to the delivery area, have the mother's blood drawn in the test tubes provided in the kit.
Collecting the Cord Blood
After the baby is born and the cord is cut, the blood remaining in the baby's umbilical cord is to be collected.
Phone Number for Collection Kit Pick Up - Call the special "800" number listed on your collection kit.
Remember to call CorCell at this number shortly after the birth of your child.
Place The Collection Kit into Its Supplied Shipping Box
This will have everything prepared and ready to go when your medical courier arrives.
Keep The Kit At Room Temperature At Your Bedside Never refrigerate the cord blood.
Provide the Collection Kit In Its Shipment Box To The Courier
The courier will arrive within 4 hours of your call to transport your cord blood collection to our facility.
