These are exciting times for the advancement of umbilical cord blood stem cell treatment.

  • Clinical research results reported in the June 9, 2007 issue of the Lancet indicate that cord blood stem cell transplantation is now considered the therapy of choice for treating children with leukemia.
  • Promising studies are occurring for heart disease and Type 1 Diabetes at the University of Florida and recent clinical trials for brain injury at Duke University have shown some extraordinary results.
  • Further, cord blood stem cell therapy, developed at the University of Minnesota, has cured a boy's fatal disease epidermolysis bullosa.

Unfortunately, there also seems to be a lot of misinformation circulating. It is our goal to provide you with the facts about umbilical cord blood stem cells so you can give your patients the ability to make an informed decision.

Please visit our Education Center for more detailed articles and reports on stem cells and stem cells from umbilical cord blood in particular. Or call CorCell to speak with one of our representatives.
