Most often striking young adults, Crohn’s and colitis exact a heavy toll in acute care, and can often involve multiple surgeries, hospitalizations, and in rare cases, untimely death. Although the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation (CCFA) has made significant progress in research, we do not yet have cures or a means of prevention.

Fanconi Anemia Research Fund
Organization Overview:  Fanconi anemia (FA), named for Swiss pediatrician, Guido Fanconi, is a very rare, recessive genetic disorder. If both parents carry a defect (mutation) in the same FA gene, each of their children has a 25% chance of inheriting the defective gene from both parents. When this happens, the child will have FA. Fanconi anemia is an inherited type of anemia that leads to bone marrow failure. Though considered primarily a blood disease, FA may affect all systems of the body. It is a complex and chronic disorder that is psychologically demanding. FA is also a cancer-prone disease, affecting patients decades earlier than the general population
Follow this link to learn why Dr. O'Neill and Erin Tecca have decided to raise funds for FA in this way.
